## Questions and answers

**Who can book a session?**
The complimentary photography experience is offered exclusively to guests of the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa. When you book, we ask for your room number. If your room has not been assigned yet, write "TBD."

**What does the session cost?**
The 45-minute session is complimentary, with no session fee and no obligation to buy. The next day you come to a private viewing and purchase only the photos you love. Packages start at $695 for 20 photos, and single images are $89 each. Parties of 7 or more have a $100 sitting fee.

**How long is the session, and where do we go?**
The session lasts 45 minutes. Your photographer guides you to a few of the resort's most scenic spots, such as tropical gardens and ocean views. You then finish at the beach. It goes by faster than you think.

Meet your photographer in the main lobby of the Grand Hyatt Kauai, near the concierge desk.

**How do I book, and how far ahead?**
Book online at https://ghk.fullslate.com/ from 18 hours up to 6 months ahead. For shorter notice, email ghk@pacificdreamphotography.com or call or text (808) 240-6448. Sessions book quickly, so we recommend reserving early in your stay. That leaves time to reschedule if needed and to come back for your viewing before you check out.

**What's the best time of day?**
Every session time is beautiful. We offer appointments in the soft morning light (8:00, 8:45 and 9:30 am) and the afternoon light (3:00, 3:45 and 4:30 pm). Choose what works best for your family and let us do the rest. With young children, a morning session often works well.

**Who are sessions for?**
Sessions are for families, couples and multi-generation families. When you book, tell us what you are celebrating, the kinds of shots you would love, and the ages of any children. Please also let us know about any disabilities or special needs so we can prepare to accommodate you.

**Are young children OK?**
Yes, we love photographing children. We don't offer mini sessions, but if little ones get tired, your photographer can finish the session early. Let us know your children's ages when you book so we can plan.

**What should we wear?**
Wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Coordinated, dressed up or casual all work well. Whites, khakis, light blues and pastels photograph beautifully; black, navy and fine patterns are best avoided. Your confirmation email links to our What to Wear guide.

**What should we bring?**
Bring only what you need. Please leave phones, cameras and iPads in your room so you can be fully present. Let us capture the memories for you.

**When do we see our photos?**
We professionally edit your images overnight, and you can view them as early as the next morning at our Photography Desk in the main lobby. Viewings 20 to 60 minutes and must be scheduled in advance. You can give us a preferred viewing time when you book, and we will confirm it with you. Please make sure your viewing fits in before you check out.

**What do we receive?**
You receive high-resolution digital images that you download from an online gallery, with full rights to the images you purchase. All images receive our standard professional edits. Prints, canvas, metal and albums can also be ordered and shipped to your home.

**Can you retouch our photos?**
All images receive our standard edits. Extra Photoshop work has an additional cost, such as removing people or objects, beauty retouching or taming flyaway hair. Re-editing to a style different from ours also has an additional cost. Feel free to discuss any requests during your viewing.

**What if we need to cancel or reschedule?**
To protect our photographers' schedules, please cancel morning sessions by 5 pm the night before and afternoon sessions at least 4 hours ahead. No-shows and late cancellations carry a $150 fee. You can change your booking online up to 6 hours before the session. Otherwise, email or call us and we will gladly help you find another time.

**Can you photograph a proposal?**
Yes. Email ghk@pacificdreamphotography.com with your date, preferred time and any dinner plans afterward. We will coordinate the timing with you in advance and have your photographer in place ahead of time. After the moment, we continue with portraits of you both.

**Do you photograph weddings?**
