Charity Walk is an event that takes place every year in May. It’s a statewide event that occurs on Hawai`i Island, Kauai, Lanai, Maui, Molokai, and Oahu and aims to help the local charities. Charity Walk is the perfect occasion to get to know the community and enroll for some charity work.
Hawai`i Lodging & Tourism Association has been involved in the event since 1978. In the 41 editions were raised over $32 million for the benefit of hundreds of charities. Charity Walk offers a mild exercise, good food and entertainment, and a morning of fun and making new friends.
Everybody can participate!
If you plan to visit Hawaii in May, Charity Walk is waiting for you. You’ll take part in the largest event of the month next to locals, hotel employees, tourists, children, and business men. You can enroll your entire family, as Charity Walk has not age limit. The donation amount is between $25 and $40, depending on the island and participant’s age.
Food, drink, and fun
Charity Walk treats its participants with foods and drinks at checkpoints along the route and at the finish point. Hotels and organizations allies to supply the checkpoints with everything they need. Charity Walk is an event that brings the entire community together in an incredible gesture that makes Hawaii stronger and better. It’s about solidarity, kindness, and joy.
