His name is Jared Vargo and he’s the creative director at Pacific Dream Photography, Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa. Recently declared Employee of the Year, Jared is so passionate about images and photography that he trains staff for other Pacific Dream Photography locations and, for several months last year, he was in charge with both Kauai locations. His challenge: to make his images perfect and deliver high-quality photos to all his clients.
Photography as a lifestyle
Jared started to take photos at a very young age. He spent his money on equipment, took photography classes, and learned everything about fundamentals and rules of photography and how to break them in search of his artistic vision. In no time, photography became more than a passion. It became a way of expressing who he is and a lifestyle.
The photographer in me was growing and I quickly learned that photography was more than just taking snapshots, it has made me see things differently and for that, I am truly grateful.
Transforming a lifetime passion into a job
For two years Jared has been working to deliver amazing memories to those visiting Kauai. Situated in the sunny Poipu, on the South shore of Kauai, Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa provides everything a photographer needs: great weather all year round, tropical gardens with waterfalls and lagoons, and incredible sunsets on Shipwrecks beach. The favorite part of my job is that I get to meet many amazing people from all over the world and, what's most rewarding, is that I get to create wonderful memories that I know our guests will cherish for a lifetime.
